About the Writer/Director
Jahnvi is a self-taught filmmaker. Shakti-the power of love is her first professional short film. She began learning film-making in 2021 and has learned from some of the finest industry professionals. She has done creative projects in various capacities for over 7 years. Her passion is writing and telling stories that matter. Authentic storytelling is very important to her, so Jahnvi tells stories of communities that she knows from the inside. She is as much a creative as she is an audience to many creatives, and is thankful for all the professionals who believe in her abilities and have come together to make her first professional film a success.

Jahnvi has participated in workshops/advisor sessions in directing, writing, and producing from professionals including Kate Leys, Summer Shelton, and Jennie Tugend.
Script Consultant for this film: Lorien McKenna is an Emmy-nominated and NAACP Image Award-winning writer and producer. A former Story Manager at Pixar Animation Studios, she worked on the Oscar Winning films Ratatouille, Up, Brave, and Inside Out. Jahnvi has received script notes from Lorien for her first film Shakti.
