The film observes the journey of two women navigating patriarchy in a 1970s Rajasthan. When Shakti and her mother struggle over a baby girl, the nurse intervenes. On the one hand, the mother negotiates with the doctor to let the girl live, but away from Shakti. On the other hand, Shakti wants to keep the baby so plans with the nurse to find her. Both Shakti and her mother push limits for the sake of their children.
